In my experience wedding talks are – as befits the importance of the occasion – prepared with thought, effort and prayer. If they are done properly – and most are (although I have heard some bad ones!) – then they have something very serious and important to say because marriage is both serious and important.
It is precisely because they do deserve an audience that I have collected these twenty-seven very different talks for ministers to see how others speak and preach at weddings and for married couples to marinade in timeless principles. For all of us who are concerned about marriage – and we all should be – they merit reading and thinking over.
